　　陈竺指出，做好疾病预防控制工作，是推进医疗卫生事业改革、
健全和完善公共卫生体系建设的具体体现。各级卫生行政部门和疾病
预防控制机构要始终把最广大人民的根本利益作为一切工作的出发点
和落脚点，进一步健全和完善疾病预防控制服务体系建设，强化履行
公共职能的意识，科学确定到2020年疾病预防控制工作的总体思路、
策略、措施。要坚持“政府领导、部门协作、社会参与”的工作方针，
把维护健康权利、保障生命安全作为促进社会公平的重要内容，作为
我们积极参与全面建设小康社会重中之重的工作。
　　陈竺强调，提高疾病预防控制能力建设是疾病预防控制体系建设
的核心内容，也是做好疾病预防控制工作的基础。疾病预防控制能力
就是履行疾病预防控制、突发公共卫生事件处置、疫情报告和健康信
息管理、健康危害因素干预和控制、实验检验评价、健康教育健康促

11月19日，搜狐IT从消息人士处得知，优酷网获得了超过2000万美元的巨额投资，而具体的消息将在明晚或者21日正式向业界公布。

　　杨华山还透露，获得的风投资金主要用于网络的覆盖，在两年之内实现分支机构达到100个。同时还要打造一个第三方管理服务业务,成为保险公司开展寿险和健康险业务的主要合作伙伴。
　　“这个业务可以为保险公司控制成本，减少不必要的赔付，同时为保单持有人提供快速的就医和理赔服务，并且为医院减少管理环节，提高医院的就医效率，加快理赔付款。”杨华山介绍说。
　　启明创投董事总经理邝子平认为，中国在健康管理服务市场才刚刚起步，潜力巨大，而国康网在这方面也刚刚起步，开拓的空间也很大。

SATURDAY, June 2 (HealthDay News) -- U.S. researchers say they've developed new tests that can determine the precise genetic pathways that lead to lung cancer.
Being able to examine these genomic "signatures" may provide patients with alternatives to chemotherapy. For example, patients may be able to be treated with drugs that target the specific faulty pathway that caused their cancer, the researchers said.
"Traditional chemotherapy is not always effective. Even when we are able to match the right chemotherapy with the right patient, 70 percent of patients with lung cancer may not respond to therapy. We need to take a different approach to those patients, and that is where these targeted therapies come in," lead investigator Dr. Anil Potti, an assistant professor of medicine at the Duke Institute for Genome Sciences & Policy, said in a prepared statement.

There's no guarantee that the country's most famous race will even be run, but if it is, it'll be without overseas horses and quite possibly without horses from New South Wales or Queensland.
Horse flu vaccines are on the way and vets will give 50,000 animals the preventive shot over the next two weeks.
Thoroughbreds and horses in New South Wales and Queensland will have priority.
There is just a possibility that vaccinated animals from NSW could run in Victoria's Spring Racing Carnival.
But that, along with the future of the Melbourne Cup itself, won't be known for three weeks.
And in the meantime, a fight has erupted over which horses will be vaccinated, and which will miss out.
